Shelter & Sanctuary

Animal Refugee Response offers a very special place for homeless dogs and cats. Here, they do not spend their lives in cages. Cats roam freely in our indoor/outdoor feline habitat. Dogs spend time running free in community environments with grass under their feet.

We provide shelter, or short term care to animals who are considered adoptable. During their stay with us, they learn to love and trust people again. We also work on social skills and behaviors that will help them succeed once adopted.

We provide sanctuary, or long term care to animals who for one reason or another are considered unadoptable. Disabled and elderly animals, and those with health conditions that need to be managed have a safe place at Animal Refugee Response. We aim to give our special needs animals the independence they want and the support they need.
